Charlestown is a popular historic port in Cornwall which is beautifully preserved, housing tall ships and the like. Once a thriving and working port, this was originally constructed to export copper and china clay. Nowadays it is frequently used for film sets and tourism with small local businesses and coffee shops amongst the colourful pastel fishermen's cottages the line the harbour walls.

Bob loved painting popular places around Cornwall and his work still today creates lovely memories of the attractions that visitors love to hold onto. 

His work is distinctive and memorable, using soft shades and vivid washes to add character to his art style. A beautiful representation of a historic port where time stands still.
